Week 5 January 29th - Feb 4th

Dear Parents,

I'm really excited about this week's verses. Not only do we close out our first month of prayer on Salvation but we start praying for the health of our children. First we have prayed for the very health of the souls of our babies and now we move our focus to the health of our children. I will never forget the first time Whittni, our oldest, was the sickest she has ever been when she was 3 or 4 years old and she had a very high fever for several days. We stayed up with her giving her medication every 2 hours and praying for her to be healed. It didn't happen when we prayed...we had to wait for the virus to run it's course. There is nothing like feeling helpless when your babies are sick and you have watch them and wait it out. With two children we have weathered many fevors, viruses, severe allergic reactions, and broken bones. God has always been there. I remember another time in the ER with Natalie when she was 9 or so with several abomemal pain that we could not figure out. She called Jesus' name and asked Him to make her feel better. God heard her cries and she was healed. Healing takes place in many ways - sometimes instantly and sometimes over time. I don't have answers as to why our children get sick and are not healed when we pray. But this I do know is that one way or the other my children will be healed and that they would know it was God who healed them.
Don't forget to journal about anything God may have laid on your heart about the salvation of your chilren. Write down anything that your children are dealing with physically no matter how big or small. I'm excited about what God is going to do in the physical lives of our children.

Week 4 January 22- 28th

Dear Parents

I could not sleep and was drawn to start my blog. I hope each of you have been praying over your children more now than you ever have. I sense an urgency to cover my children more than ever. They grow us so fast and they are exposed to so much more than we were growing up. I wonder where all the time has gone and have many regrets of missed opportunities to be a better example to them in one area or the other. But God reassures me that He is there and will fill in the gaps of my mistakes. I so desire to be a stepping stone for my girls to go and be much more than I ever imagined for myself. I think that is a natural part of being a parent. With that being said this week's verses are very powerful. I hope you guys are continuing along with me. May God bless and strength you as He leads and guides you in how to be the parent your child(ren) need to be the man or woman He created them to be.

I pray for my child(ren)to repent quickly of his/her sins so that he/she may have life in Your salvation. I pray that Your Holy Spirit would hover over them and quicken their hearts when they sin. Make them miserable in their sin so that they would quickly turn back to Your loving arms.

Week 3- Janurary- Salvation

Good Morning Parents,

I hope everyone has enjoyed this past week. I really love the beauty of the snow. I have enjoyed being home a few extra days with the family- playing some games, watching movies, making snow cream, napping, and taking plenty of pictures of the girls out in the snow. I hope that it makes good memories for them.
I know some of you may be wondering about more verses on salvation...I did too when looking for 30 verses on this subject. But, I did learn that there is more to just being saved. Salvation is a gift that comes with blessings and protection. I remember a song we used to sing in church about God is our rock, a fortress and our salvation. I could see myself being set upon a huge rock then I could see myself being protected in a fortress that couldn't be penetrated. How awesome would be if we as parents could teach our children that we have safety and blessings in our salvation. I hope these verses give you hope in the future of your children as they grow up in their salvation.

Janurary 15th
"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, 'Your God reigns!'" Isaiah 52:7 (NIV)

Lord, I pray that my child(ren) would have a voice to bring the good news of Your peace and salvation to all that are in his/her sphere of influence. I pray that You would find him/her to be beautiful in Your sight.

Janurary 16th
"He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken." Psalms 62:2 (NIV)

Precious Lord, I thank You that my child(ren) never have to be shaken during tuff times. I pray that he/she would always find courage, refuge, and confidence in their salvation.

Janurary 17th
"Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day." Psalms 96:2 (NIV)

Heavenly Father, I pray that my child(ren) would never forget the precious gift of his/her salvation. I pray that he/she would sing prasies to You for this priceles gift day after day.

January 18th
"For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righeousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch." Isaiah 62:1 (NIV)

Holy Father, I pray that my child(ren) would not keep silent of his/her salvation. I pray that You would help him/her to be a blazing torch to all he/she comes in contact with so that they too may be saved.

Janurary 19th
"O Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress." Isaiah 33:2 (NIV)

Gracious Lord, I pray that my child(ren) would find strength in his/her salvation every morning especially during times of distress. I pray that he/she would have a deep longing for more of You.

Januarar 20th
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12 (NIV)

Heavenly Father, I pray that my child(ren) would know You as the one and only God by which they can be saved. I pray that he/she would never believe in any false god or teachings. I pray that You would seal his/her heart the truth of Your Laws.

January 21st
"For this is what the Lord has commanded us: 'I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth."
Acts 13: 47

Might God, I pray that my child(ren) would follow Your commands and that You would make him/her a light for all to see for this is what You have intended for all of us to do. I pray that my child(ren) would help bring salvation to those in their sphere of influence.

Parents, I love these verses. We all should be challenged to be more of a light to those around us-especially our children. I pray blessings on you as you continue to journey with me for our children.

January- Salvation

Parents,

I hope everyone has had a great first week of the new year. If you are like me-the new year brings many new hopes and dreams. I personally desire to be a better person (wife, mother, daughter, sister, co-worker, church member - the list could go on) than I was last year. I desire to have more of God in my life than last year. I know that I can't do that with in my own strength or power so I humbly ask my Heavenly Father to help me. As for my children, this year I pray that they to would be better girls. I desire that would have a hunger for the things that only God could give them. I desire that they would not wait until they are all grown up to allow God to be their everything. My oldest daughter will start her senior year in highschool this year. My youngest daughter will start her highschool year this year. These are just a few things on my mind as this new year begins to fade away day by day. Oh how the days do go by fast. So, what are your dreams and prayers for your children for this year? Not next year or 5 years from now but right now for 2011! Write them down in your parent prayer journal and revist them as the up coming months unfold.
I pray that God would personally reveal to you what He wants to do in our children's lives this year so that you can cover those things in prayer. After all God does have a plan for their lives and chances are they are much greater than anything we could image or think of on our own- so pray and ask God then write those things down also....

Chronicles 16:23 (NIV)

"I pray to You oh Lord that my child(ren) would proclaim his/her salvation in his/her enviroment so that others may know you."

January 11th
But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Psalms 51:12 (NIV)

"Dear God, I pray that my child(ren) would have a willing spirit and that the joy of his/her salvation would sustain him/her during hard times."

January 14th
My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. Psalm 62:1 (NIV)

"God, I pray that my child(ren) would find rest in knowing You have saved him/her."

Parents don't forget to write down what You want for your children this year and to ask God to reveal to you what HE wants for your children. I can't wait to hear and see what God is going to do in the lives of all of our children.
Blessings and strength to you as you pray God's Word over your children.
